Founded in 1911, Kyushu University is the 4th oldest national university in Japan. Comprehensive in its academic reach, the university consisted of 12 undergraduate schools, 18 graduate schools, and numerous affiliated research
centers. In 2010, the university established the International Undergraduate Programs at the School of Agriculture and Engineering.
"School of Agriculture" - The degree program in Bioresource and Bioenvironment provides an education targeted at the acquisition of extensive knowledge related to bio-production, bio-functions, and bio-environmental sciences. Students
also acquire expertise and skills that can be applied internationally and will graduate as professionals with a widely balanced approach to creating solutions. The agricultural research and education field includes a wide range
of basic and applied sciences, covering both the natural and social sciences.
"School of Engineering" - The degree programs in Engineering provide an education targeted at the acquisition of a solid foundation of engineering and developing the ability to understand and explain a broad range of issues, based
on the principles and laws of basic sciences, including physics and chemistry. There are four English-based programs: Applied Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering.
